Very Rare 19th Century Parian Ware Duke Of Wellington Commemorative Pitcher Jug Decorated in relief commemoration of the death of Arthur Wellesley 1st Duke of Wellington. Interior glazed. No maker's mark to the base. Circa 1850-60's Duke of Wellington Died 14th Sept 1852 Measures 15.1cm tall. Very few of these remain in existence. Condition: Overall very good original condition. There are several small chips to the rim. There are two mount holes under the rim, one has a pewter pin in situ. The top tier of the ornate handle appears to have been applied by means of a pin design. Please see photos.
