Vintage Magnor Norway Mid-Century Amber Art Glass Cylinder Vase (22cm)
A striking piece of Scandinavian modernist encased glass.
Manufactured by the renowned Magnor Glassverk in Norway during the 1960s to 1970s, this piece is highly characteristic of the minimalist, heavy art glass designs popularized by iconic Norwegian designers like Arne Lindaas and Willy Johansson.
The vase features a beautifully rich, smoky amber core expertly encased in a thick, crystal-clear glass sleeve. A hallmark of high-quality mid-century craftsmanship, the base is detailed with a distinct, polished inward cone pontil (controlled dimple) that beautifully catches and refracts the light.
Excellent vintage condition. The glass is brilliantly clear with no chips, cracks, flea bites, or internal cloudiness.
