Vintage Maltese Brass Dolphin Door Knocker Heavy Cast Marine Fish Cross Nautical Hardware
Handcrafted in Malta during the mid-20th century (circa 1950s), this striking architectural piece features a highly detailed stylized dolphin or sea fish mounted over a classic eight-pointed Maltese Cross.
Expertly sand-cast from solid brass, this heavy piece weighs an impressive 832 grams. It retains its beautiful, authentic aged patina with natural oxidization settled deep within the scales and cross ridges, giving it incredible character and depth.
Excellent vintage condition showing some verdigris. The brass shows lovely natural aging and there is some wear ageing on one of the cross points.
Please note that the matching striking stud/plate is not included, which has been factored into the price.
It can be easily mounted directly to a wooden door or display board using standard threaded bolts.
