Designed by the legendary Ben Lexcen, Southern Cross was a trailblazer as the first aluminium-hulled challenger in the history of the cup.
This beautifully detailed half-hull model features sleek blue and white racing lines mounted on a rich wooden backing board.
The brass corner brackets and the original nameplate presenting a brilliant, bright finish that perfectly offsets the timber.
Crucially, the reverse of the wood mount retains its original serial number plate stamped ‘249’, confirming its status as an authentic, limited-edition production piece.
Condition is very good, showing only a minor scuff patch to the wood, some tarnish to the brass and some very slight age wear to the hull.
