Vintage Chinese Royal Satsuma Mid-Century Pedestal Compote Bowl
Crafted in the traditional Satsuma style, this large decorative pedestal bowl features intricate, hand-painted moriage (raised enamel) designs showcasing a vibrant tapestry of multi-colored floral patterns and brilliant gold gilded accents.
A standout feature is the beautifully delicate, pierced reticulated openwork band encircling the scalloped upper rim and body, allowing light to filter through and accentuating its classic form.
The piece is solidly built, weighing 1.34 kg, and rests on a flared pedestal base.
The underside of the base is stamped for authenticity with "Made in China Satsuma", alongside five distinct characters and the production number 57.
